Ginseng Beverage


  • 1 ginseng root (10 g)

  • 10 dried jujube fruits (Chinese: hong zao)

  • 2 tablespoons wolfberry fruit (Chinese: gou gi zi)

  • 1 tablespoon chrysanthemum


Place ingredients into a teapot, pour in hot water, steep 2 minutes and serve.

Chinese Ginseng Herbal Chicken Soup


  • 1 free-range chicken, cut into 4 to 8 pieces

  • 2-3 ginseng roots (approx. 30 g)

  • 2 piece of ginger

  • 1 teaspoon wolfberry fruit (Chinese: gou gi zi)

  • 2 teaspoons salt

  • 2-liters water


Rinse and drain all the dried herbs to remove dust and dirt. Place all ingredients in a soup pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours. Remove from heat and serve warm.

Ginseng Root Liquor


  • 500ml Chinese liquor

  • 3-5 ginseng roots


Put ginseng roots and Chinese liquor into a glass bottle and infuse for one week.
