Different teasets are used for different purposes, but there are only two criteria essential in choosing the proper pot. Everything else is a matter of personal taste. 1. Choose and use a highly-fired porcelain pot for non-fermented teas, such as green tea. Use of heavy stone or pottery pot for completely-fermented teas. 2. Choose a pot that's size-appropriate for the number of guests you'll have. You may want a small pot appropriate for a guest or two; a large one for parties. Beyond that, choose the pot you like. The color, glazed or unglazed have no effect on the taste or aroma of the tea.
